IVS 2019: Record-breaking numbers for the third edition of the Industrial Valve Summit

The third edition of Industrial Valve Summit (IVS), the most important international Exhibition and Conference on valve and flow control technologies, promoted by Confindustria Bergamo and Ente Fiera Promoberg and held in Bergamo on May 22nd - 23rd, has come to an end with an outstanding number of visitors

The final numbers of the 2019 iteration is a grand total of 10,753 visitors over the two days - this is a 36% increase on visitors compared to IVS 2017.

As well as an exceptional number of visitors the event boasted 250 exhibitors, 2 sold out pavilions and 7 conferences (including technical sessions and workshops).

During the two days in Bergamo, several studies and analyses on the state of art of the valve industry at a national and international level were presented: the Prometeia-Confindustria Bergamo Observatory about “The Oil&Gas valve industry in Italy”, two market studies of the Italian Trade Agency regarding Russia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the Oil & Gas report realized by the American research company SAI, focusing on the perception of leading customers towards Italian producers.

Thanks to the renewed synergy with the Association ANIMA and the Trade Agency ICE, business delegations from 15 countries attended the Exhibition.

They also took part in B2B meetings with Italian companies, previously registered on a dedicated platform, at the ANIMA booth.

“The 2019 edition of IVS recorded important results, which confirm the high value of the idea to create an event for the valve industry in Bergamo, and compensate all the efforts and investments made so far,” said the President of Confindustria Bergamo Stefano Scaglia.

He went on to comment: “The event, born thanks to the virtuous collaboration with local companies, is producing very positive effects for large companies and especially for SMEs, which represent 94% of the sector and need more visibility at international level.”

The Industrial Valves Summit aims to bring together all key decision makers involved in valve technologies and flow control solutions. The event is born to attract the entire supply chain of the valve industry and is held every two years.

On the occasion, the IVS organizers have announced that the fourth edition of IVS will take place in Bergamo on May 26th – 27th 2021.
