Comment by BVAA CEO Rob Bartlett
We’re busy and getting busier!
On my recent return from a few weeks’ annual leave in France, our ’30-minute team catch-up meeting’ to fill me in on progress during my absence, turned into a two-hour epic. There’s just so much going on!
I recognise of course that there are still hideous things going on in the world, and the winter could be an extremely challenging time for everyone, but from a valve and actuators perspective, there’s certainly an enormous amount of work to get our teeth into right now.
After the odd false start and Covid-caused delays, our Desktop Exhibitions programme is beginning to get back into shape with a succession of events now on the books for the autumn and winter – watch out for the announcements.
Our Training is also really benefitting from its raised profile in the industry, and bookings are now rising, especially for in-house and bespoke courses at clients’ own premises.
Similarly, our AGM and Gala Dinner & Ball is really getting up steam, with entertainment being engaged and bookings rising nicely. We’re expecting a big turnout this year and a reminder that our block-booking for rooms at the hotel soon runs out. If you want to attend – and this is the industry’s hot-ticket affair – it really is time to book!
Finally, we are delighted to announce that our new-look BVAA Group Stand at Vave World Dusseldorf is fully booked! After a 4-year wait, excitement levels here at BVAA HQ are very high, and we cannot wait to get out there meeting our members and customers alike.
