EN 1983:2006 “Industrial valves - Steel ball valves”

By BVAA’s Technical Consultant, Peter Churm

EN 1983:2006 “Industrial valves - Steel ball valves” was submitted for a systematic review in 2011. CEN/ TC 69 requested its secretariat to launch a resolution by correspondence for the revision of EN 1983:2006 to update the normative references and to take into account the comments of Ed Haynes (CEN PED Consultant) during the Formal Vote.

As Convenor of CEN/TC 69/WG 5, I prepared the text of the revised prEN 1983 which is also available from the BVAA.

This too is under vote until 31 May 2012 to register the revision of EN 1983:2006 in CEN/TC 69/WG 5 work programme. Again contact BVAA should you wish to be nominated as a UK expert.
