BS EN ISO 5210:2017 Industrial valves - Multi-turn valve actuator attachments - updated standard issued
What is it?:
This European/ International Standard specifies the requirements for the attachment of multiturn actuators and/ or gear boxes to valves. It specifies mating dimensions for attachement and the dimensions of the actuator/ gear box drive components.
Why Is it Important?:
It is the internationally accepted standard and widely used by actuator and valve manufacturers. It is widely referenced in EN and ISO valve product standards. It has been revised to:
• Extend the range of flange sizes (higher output thrusts)
• Introduce groups C and D for assemblies capable of transmitting torque only, in 7.4 and 7.5
• Introduce linear (thrust only) actuator in 7.6
