BVAA: 81st Annual General Meeting Online

The BVAAs 81st AGM took place on the 20th November 2020. With face-to-face events still unfeasible, the move was made to a digital platform. The decision was taken to deliver our same high-quality content via Microsoft Teams which enabled everyone to take part in a safe and responsible manner. This was organised and facilitated by BVAA’s Karen Webb who oversaw the smooth running of the AGM. The event marked a historic moment in BVAA history being the very first online version. The merits of delivering this event online include no travel restrictions and meant many could participate and indeed we saw healthy numbers attend.

Alongside the meeting there was some stand-out online discussions this year which included a presentation on the global economy and coverage of the Global Valve Report by Jeremy Leonard of Oxford Economics. This was closely followed by a session hosted by Tim Guest and a team of guest speakers and industry experts on what the future holds for companies on a more personnel-related level.

A reminder that recordings of the proceedings can be accessed by our members from the member only area of the website within  'Downloads'. As well as recordings - Jeremy’s presentation is also available as a PDF via the Member Only area. If you haven't already registered to access this area of the website please email laura@bvaa.org.uk for more information.

The BVAA intend to deliver the 82nd Annual General Meeting on the 13th - 14th July at the outstanding venue Rockliffe Hall. Members, friends and guests of the BVAA are cordially invited to attend. The AGM as ever will comprise a series of presentations on industry related topics. After lunch there will be the more traditional Association business plus the Annual General Meeting of the Association. In the evening, you will be welcomed at our Champagne reception, entertainment and dinner followed by dancing.

There will also be an opportunity for Golf and networking on Thursday the 15th of July on the championship 18 hole golf course at Rockliffe Hall.
