Röchling Industrial UK Ltd: What is in a name?

We are announcing a name change of Röchling in the UK. Known as Röchling Engineering Plastics (UK) Ltd.; Röchling Fibracon Ltd. and Röchling Insoll Ltd., all three UK branches will now come under the new Röchling Industrial UK Ltd. branding.

Röchling (Hitchin), a leading supplier of precision machined small plastic components, is also pleased to announce that it has successfully completed its AS9100D recertification.

AS9100 is an aerospace standard based on the ISO 9001 quality system requirements. The intent of the standard is to establish a single quality management system for use within the aerospace industry, with more stringent requirements specific to the aviation, space and defence industries.

Some of the finest micro-machined plastic components in the industry are manufactured by Röchling at the dedicated micro machining facility in Hitchin. State of the art machining centres provide accuracy, repeatability and speed.

  • Diameters down to 0.5mm
  • Bore sizes down to 0.1mm
  • Wall thickness as low as 0.1mm even on PTFE
  • Tolerances can be as tight as 0.02mm
  • Exceptional surface finishes of N4 (Ra 0.2μm)
  • Component aspect ratios of 100:1

High-precision requirements are met while producing complex configurations, machined from materials including PI, PAI, PEEK, PTFE, POM (acetal), delrin, PA (nylon), PP (polypropylene), and various densities of PE (polyethylene).

From 1 off through to production quantities, if you have a need for high-precision small polymer parts, then we are waiting to hear from you.

Offering contract manufacturing to your design and specification, Röchling Industrial UK (Hitchin) can also help with design optimisation thereby reducing production time and cost of machining.

Micro-machined parts are delivered to industries including

  • medical device manufacturers
  • life sciences
  • micro electronics
  • energy
  • oil and gas
  • automotive
  • leisure
  • and, of course, aerospace

Due to the critical nature of the work undertaken by Röchling Industrial UK (Hitchin), the inspection department is practiced in operating a quality system accredited to AS 9100 Rev D. This accreditation supports valuable opportunities in aviation, space and defence industries, and demonstrates full compliance with the standards called for by worldwide suppliers.

Quality control includes

  • co-ordinate measurement machines (CMM) for non-contact quality control
  • ultra-precise measurement at high speed
