The BVAA is delighted to announce that FOUR of our magnificent members have been Gazetted in the Queen's Awards category for Enterprise in International Trade, namely Corrosion Resistant Materials, LB Bentley, Oliver Valvetek and Special Quality Alloys.

BVAA CEO Rob Bartlett commented, “For the British Valve industry to be so well represented in such turbulent times is a testament to the strength and resilience of our sector.  Given all the present turmoil in the materials markets – a topic we covered in a webinar only yesterday – it is extremely gratifying that two winners are from our materials section, alongside two outstanding valve manufacturers of high repute.”

Adam Bradley, Director, Corrosion Resistant Materials Ltd added, “The Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade is recognition for the entire teams hard work and dedication over the past 7 years. Our Exports continue to grow year on year and now make up around 50% of our entire turnover. We currently export to 31 countries (and counting) and believe this award can only cement our name on the global stage. We are proud to be flying the flag for UK manufacturing around the world.”

"I am delighted with LB Bentley receiving the Queen’s Award for international trade, especially when overcoming the global challenges we all faced in 2020," says Rhys Jones, LB Bentley Ltd’s Divisional President. "This achievement was down to a dedicated team working together to deliver a high-quality product with a focus on customer service.”

Shane Higgins, Sales Engineer, Special Quality Alloys Ltd added, “As a Sheffield based forge and BVAA member, we were thrilled to hear the good news this week. We have a proud history of supplying forgings to the valve industry and to be recognised for this prestigious Queen’s Award is a testament to the hard work and expertise of our team here at Special Quality Alloys. Following the major investments in recent years, we are excited for the future and to continue supporting BVAA members here in the UK!”
