Gee Graphite’s FPS-GEE Energised - helping reduce costs and fugitive emissions
Identify, Quantify, Rectify (IQR)
FPS-GEE Energised IQR System
The FPS-GEE Energised IQR System is a full range of products and services designed to eliminate costly plant leakage problems and help reduce your fugitive emissions footprint.
Our system allows us to Identify, Quantify & Rectify your valve stem process leaks and if required we can engineer an upgrade solution on older valves to improve long term sustainability and reduce fugitive emissions.
Each component in the Energised System is the result of our commitment and on-going research and development programme to produce the most effective products for industry.
This research, combined with the use of only the best available materials and production methods, brings the following benefits:
- Minimum leakage – drastically cutting maintenance costs
- Elimination of on-line leak sealing
- Automatic gland adjustment – maintains packing pressure
- Reduction in valve stem pitting – due to corrosion inhibitors
- Improved plant efficiency
- Maximum packing life – using calculated torque settings
Whether unpacking valves and pumps is a part of your regular maintenance programme or an unscheduled necessary response to leakage or failure, it is invariably a difficult and unpleasant task.
Removing worn, dried out, carbonised and rock-hard packing is time-consuming, particularly where the removal of injected sealing compounds is concerned. The whole labour-intensive process increases pressure on engineers striving to reduce downtime and costs. Traditional methods of unpacking can often result in valve stem / stuffing box damage, leading to costly product losses and inevitable further repairs.
Utilising the unique Energised Portable Water Jet Packing Extractor system which uses microbursts of a focused water jet at very high pressure to remove safely remove even the hardest of valve stem packing, pump packing and flange gasketing materials of all kinds. The equipment is designed for totally safe use by a single operator and is so portable and effective that the unpacking of 30 valves in a day is not uncommon. The savings in downtime and labour costs can be significant. There is also peace of mind in knowing that the process is entirely non-destructive to valve and pump components, leaving them in the optimum condition for resealing.
With in-house manufacturing and extensive stocks of seals and gaskets, coupled with our highly trained and experienced on site team FPS-GEE Energised are ready to support your operational needs.
