Broder Metals Group Exhibits at UK Metals Expo 2022

Broder Metals Group recently exhibited at the very first UK Metals Expo.  Held at the NEC in Birmingham on 14th and 15th September, this exhibition was designed to bring the UK metals supply chain together with customers in the manufacturing and engineering sectors.  Exhibitors included primary manufacturers, Metals stockists, processors and machine shops and Metals recycling companies.  There was also a range of seminars given by industry- and outside experts, covering Innovation and Skills Development in the Metals sector, the Circular Economy, and building resilience in supply chains.

Mark Burton, MD of Broder Metals Group, said: “This was a great exhibition. We met with customers and potential customers from across Europe on our stand, which was refreshing after a couple of years of only seeing many people virtually.

The mood of attendees was very positive, with almost all enjoying a fantastic run of business so far in 2022, although some conversations showed that people do have one eye on the potential negative economic situation and how this would impact business for 2023.  A further topic for discussion was the current lack of steel stock in the marketplace, as many distributors’ stocks are running low following the recent surge in demand.  I strongly recommend that valve manufacturers attend this and similar exhibitions in the future in order to discuss supply options with the Metals stockists and distributors in attendance, as was discussed at BVAA’s recent round-table event.”

Next year’s event will take place on 13th and 14th September and Broder Metals Group will see you there!
