Flowserve’s Valbart® TMCBV Trunnion-Mounted Control Ball Valve

Delivering high rangeability and noise control

To provide our customers with updated information on Flowserve products, we are pleased to share the design updates for the Valbart TMCBV trunnion-mounted control ball valve for oil and gas midstream and liquefied natural gas (LNG) processes.

Product Design Updates

Engineering has updated the cavitation and noise trims on the TMCBV from a welded to a sleeve design.

Benefits

  • Reduce inventory: sleeve design reduces inventory by stocking a sleeve that is interchangeable with the same ball.
  • Reduce lead time: sleeve design reduces project lead times by manufacturing the sleeve and ball in parallel.

Development

The sleeve design is being completed in three phases:

  • Phase 1: D1 (completed in 2018)
  • Phase 2: Z1, Z2, C1, C2 (will be completed later this month)
  • Phase 3: N2 to 3, N2 to 4 (in process;)

 Sales support

All changes have been updated in the following sales tools:

  • Technical bulletin
  • Sales brochure

Energy Transition

Flowserve products and services are enabling energy transition by helping our customers operate more efficiently and lower carbon emissions.

Valbart TMCBV trims are designed to meet the challenging application requirements in LNG liquefaction and regasification. The TMCBV trims provide maximum rangeability for critical LNG applications with a wide range of operating conditions, while also controlling cavitation damage with optimized fluid passages.
