WIKA Marathon

This July, WIKA UK headed off to the WIKA Marathon which has been annually organised since 2006 and takes place at the WIKA headquarters, Klingenberg, Germany.

This year the UK sent three teams, two of which were WIKA employees and the third team, JWF Process Solutions, their Scottish Premium Partner.

Each team consisted of seven runners, each running six kilometres, over tough, hilly terrain in addition to hot, humid weather conditions, all participants managed to complete the demanding route, albeit exhausted, happy, and healthy and able to enjoy the excellent food and open-air musical entertainment well into the night.

As in previous years, WIKA donates one euro to a charitable institution in the region, for every kilometre ran. This year, the amount raised for charity, was a total of 5,000 euros. This was divided among three significant local charities: Lebenshilfe in the district of Miltenberg, the Donum Vitea pregnancy counselling centre in Aschaffenburg and the children's hospice in Kleinheubach.

BVAA Hatters and Donation

As the WIKA team kindly sent us a photo wearing their BVAA hats, we have donated £50 to Coeliac UK. Back in June, we also donated to this worthy cause, when the team from WIKA Instruments Ltd successfully completed the Lake District 10 Peaks. Read more here.
