Rotork: Reliability Services
Why a reliable maintenance plan is key to reducing downtime
Maintaining a site should be a priority for any operation, but devising a comprehensive plan can be complex and difficult. If an asset fails, then not only is downtime dramatically increased, but the safety of the site is also at risk. To avoid these possibilities, a holistic, flexible and comprehensive maintenance plan must be implemented.
A multitiered, customisable service plan like Rotork’s Reliability Services is divided into three tiers — Basic, Standard, and Premium — providing progressively greater coverage and support. Reliability Services is designed to ensure asset availability and reliability while reducing downtime.
Regular servicing will help identify and address potential problems before they occur, improving the performance and lifespan of the actuator. This includes routine inspections, replacement of consumable parts, lubrication, and electrical testing.
Rotork's RSS (Rotork Site Services) team provide a comprehensive range of site services for actuators, including:
- Preventative maintenance: Rotork's RSS team develop and implements preventive Reliability Services programs tailored to each customer's requirements. These programs include routine inspections, replacement of consumable parts, lubrication, and electrical testing.
- Corrective maintenance: When actuators fail, Rotork's RSS team provides quick and efficient corrective maintenance services. The team has a large inventory of spare parts available, ensuring a swift and seamless process for repairing or replacing damaged actuators.
- Upgrades and retrofits: Rotork's RSS team help customers upgrade and restore their actuators to improve performance and reliability. The team offers upgrades, including new control systems, actuators, and instruments.
The failure of assets as a result of poor maintenance can lead to reduced performance, drops in quality and productivity, loss of investment, and severe environmental consequences. Rotork's RSS team provide a comprehensive range of services to help customers maintain and optimise their actuators throughout their lifecycle.
