ADNOC Gives Seal of Approval for HSP’s Valve Automation Centre

HSP’s Valve Automation Centre (VAC) in Dubai has received approval from the Government-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), representing a major milestone in HSP’s capabilities to serve the industry in the Middle East region and beyond.

Size matters

Established in 2019, the centre covers 112,000 square feet, with 16,800 sqft of workshop space offering hydrostatic and gas testing, plus two test bunkers offering FAT and IFAT of actuated packages. The centre has 10 and 20-tonne gantry cranes, so ample capacity for both large-bore and high-volumes of valves.

There’s 5,000 sqft of office space housing regional sales, project management, operations, and eastern hemisphere leadership teams, enabling HSP to work especially closely with customers. The centre’s recent expansion reflects a significant investment both in capabilities and people, with the latter growing from three to 17.

Lock, stock, and barrel

The VAC’s comprehensive stocks include manufacturer components and parts – from limit switches, to filter regulators, to myriad valve types, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic components for fast-track parts or builds.

The centre offers design, procurement, assembly, integration and testing of ESDVs, SDVs, DVs, XVs, and HIPPS, as well as for pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and electro-hydraulic systems.

Comprehensive approval

Approved products and services HSP currently, or will, provide ADNOC include:

  • Actuators maintenance and repair
  • Valve automation system services
  • Motor operated valve (MOV) maintenance
  • ESD and HIPPS valves
  • Valves actuators control systems (valve automation)
  • System integration – control and instrumentation

Being independent, HSP has access to all ADNOC-approved actuator and valve brands, so can offer a highly flexible approach for third-party companies required to use an approved facility to supply ADNOC.

Perfectly positioned

HSP’s VAC is perfectly located to capitalise on the valve supply chain into the Middle East from Europe and Asia. And with in-country integration, customers can witness inspections and testing in Dubai to avoid travelling around the world.

The VAC is already fulfilling multi-million dollar projects for GCC national oil companies, EPCs, and SKID builders, as well as with FPSO end-users, and module builders from the Asia region.

HSP will expand its pipeline of ADNOC-approved products including actuators, positioners and switch boxes from IMTEX.

Receiving ADNOC approval for its Valve Automation Centre is a major step for HSP as it further cements its presence and expands its capabilities in the Middle East region.
