Following the acquisition of Adanac by AIV Europe in 2015, the two companies will soon be consolidated into a new purpose-built facility. 

“The new facility, located in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, will offer significantly increased shop floor space for ADANAC and storage space for AIV Europe,” says Frank Jimenez, Managing Director. “The property will allow for future expansion of both businesses. Construction will start later this year, with a scheduled opening in early 2025.” 

Founded in 1986, Adanac Valve Specialities offers a comprehensive and reliable source for the modification, testing and supply of quality valves and services, with a focus on industry leading delivery solutions. 

Services include: 

  • Valve modification: Cryogenic, Heating jackets, Bellows sealed, pipe pups, stem extensions, end modifications
  • Testing: Cryogenic (down to minus 196 Deg. C), Hydrostatic (up to 760 barg), High pressure gas (up to 620 barg), Fugitive Emissions, Elevated (up to + 400 Deg. C), Vacuum testing
  • Degreasing: For Oxygen duty, process duties, medical gas duties, Chlorine duties, Phosgene duties, Ethylene Oxide duties, Isocyanate duties and Hydrogen Peroxide duties etc.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Qualified to ASMI IX, carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, super duplex and low alloy CrMo steel – post weld heat treatment, hard facing
  • Operating and Automation: Beal and Worm gears, Actuation – Pneumatic, Electric and Hydraulic, stem extensions, fabrication of levers and handwheels, interlock systems, spring return levers, position indicators
  • Machining services: Turning, Milling, Drilling, threading and slotting
  • Painting and Coating: Blasting – Grit and glass bead, Single and multi-coat systems, cold and hot curing, thickness and adhesion testing
  • Non destructive Examination: Positive Material Examination, Visual Examination, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic Examination and Hardness testing.
