Celebrating 100 Issues of Valveuser Magazine

Our Director, Rob Bartlett, is the founder and editor of Valveuser Magazine. In his Comment on page 4, he reflects on the launch of the magazine in 2007, and the substantial developments and growing global readership over the 100 issues.

Today, the magazine is primarily published as a digital magazine, with special print editions for distribution at strategic trade shows and industry events. It has a dedicated website with over 3,500 articles!

Valveuser continues to be a FREE publication, and remains the premier specialist journal for the valve and actuator industry. All of this is only possible with the continued support of BVAA member advertisers and their articles, providing valuable, insightful and relevant content.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed, supported and is a reader of Valveuser – here’s what some of our members say…

“It’s a proud moment for KOSO Kent Introl to see Valveuser celebrate its 100th edition, especially as we were honoured to be the cover story of its very first issue back in 2007. Over the years, the magazine has been a cornerstone for the valve industry, providing invaluable insights, technical expertise, and a platform for collaboration. We’ve been privileged to support Valveuser throughout its publishing journey, whether through advertising, sharing articles, or simply engaging with the vibrant community it represents.

Our long-standing membership of the BVAA has further strengthened our position as a UK manufacturer of high-quality Control and Choke valves, giving us access to a trusted network, technical resources, and industry initiatives that continue to drive excellence.

Here’s to celebrating this milestone and to many more years of success and innovation within our industry.”

“As long-time members of the BVAA, it's been a privilege to witness the association and Valveuser magazine go from strength to strength. From proudly placing our advert on the inside front cover of the very first edition back in 2007, to seeing how far both the publication and the industry have come, it's been an incredible journey. This magazine has consistently championed innovation, shared knowledge, and helped knit our community closer together.

For us, it’s more than just a publication—it’s a reflection of the values, progress, and people that make it so special.”

“Langley Alloys joined the BVAA back in 2017. I was keen for us to get closer to a group of customers we were already dealing with at varying levels. At that time, there were very few suppliers as part of the association.

I’ve found the events incredibly well run; the team extremely helpful and the association constantly striving to add value to its membership. And besides the business benefits, it’s always been fun. From snowbound supplier days to late night comedy evenings, and surprise visits at our stand when we’re exhibiting elsewhere.”

Rodney Rice C.Eng, Director, Langley Alloys

“Through BVAA’s insightful publication and engaged membership, BVAA has become the heartbeat of the valve industry connecting professionals, advancing standards, and shaping the future of flow control.

Since joining in 2007, our membership has significantly elevated our company’s visibility while deepening our understanding of the valve industry. It’s been an invaluable platform for growth, connection, and continuous learning.”

Carl Jackson, Technical Director, Springmasters Ltd

“Congratulations to the BVAA on your 100th issue of Valveuser Magazine.

Since joining in 2023, Clifford Springs has really enjoyed being part of the BVAA.  We have met so many great people, been able to share our passion for springs, and benefitted from opportunities to exhibit, network, educate and be educated.

The BVAA has opened doors for us to have conversations about canted coil, and how it is a gamechanger when it comes to space saving and energising valve seals.  We love to help our clients innovate, when it comes to springs, and the BVAA is certainly giving us those opportunities to help!

Here’s to at least another 100 issues!  Congratulations, and thank you, BVAA from all of us at Clifford Springs.”

John Clifford, Managing Director, Clifford Springs
