Tyne Pressure Testing (TPT) is a specialist pressure testing facility based in the North East of England, operating alongside BEL Valves as part of the British Engines Group, a business with over 100 years of engineering heritage.

TPT provides independent, high‑integrity verification for components used in extreme and safety‑critical environments. The facility can simulate pressures equivalent to 15,000 metres below sea level and features one of Europe’s largest horizontal test chambers, enabling testing of large complex components.

Capabilities include hyperbaric, hydrostatic and environmental testing, and helium leak detection across temperatures from -130 °C to 500 °C. Testing is monitored in real time, with live data and video streamed to a dedicated control room for precise control of pressure ramps and cycle profiles.

As part of British Engines, TPT strengthens our end‑to‑end engineered solutions – from design and manufacture to independent verification, supporting customers in some of the world’s most demanding industries.
