Colson invests in new Rotherham home

Colson Valves, the Rotherham-based valve manufacturer, relocated to a new facility at Bessemer Park, Rotherham in March this year.
The move reflects the company's investment in its long-term operational capability. The new site offers a modern layout designed around manufacturing efficiency, alongside increased capacity to support growing demand. Critically, the new premises are close enough to the existing location to retain the full workforce – preserving the experience and continuity that underpins the company's reputation for quality.
Managing Director Chris Brown has confirmed that all ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations, along with PED and PE(S)R certifications, remain in place following the transition, with the certification body having managed a seamless transfer of scope.
The relocation was phased to minimise any impact on customers, with processes running across both sites during the final month. Machining capabilities, test equipment and procedures have all been transferred unchanged – the new address brings all the benefits of improved facilities, with no change in how Colson Valves operates.
The company recently rebranded from Colson X-Cel to Colson Valves – a change that better reflects the breadth of what the business does and the market it serves. The move to Bessemer Park sits alongside that, with both representing a considered step forward for a business that has built its position in the valve and actuator supply chain on precision, compliance and reliability.
