From Oil & Gas to Aerospace: Howco Prepares for Farnborough Debut

Howco’s expansion into aerospace has been gathering pace over the last year, but the company’s foundations remain firmly rooted in the industries that built its reputation. Known globally for supplying high-performance alloys and precision engineered components into oil and gas, energy and other critical sectors, the business is now applying that same expertise to aerospace and space technology.
This summer marks another milestone in their journey, with Howco preparing to exhibit at the Farnborough International Airshow for the first time. Taking place between 20-24 July, the event is one of the aerospace industry’s most important international gatherings, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers and innovators from across the sector.

Building Momentum in Aerospace
This comes shortly after Howco took part in Space Tech Expo in California. The team used the event to show what its supply chain setup looks like in practice, from material processing through to precision component manufacturing - particularly for applications where tolerances and reliability really matter.
The company’s background in industries where conditions are harsh and expectations are high has naturally shaped the way it approaches this new sector. Traceability, quality control and repeatable processing are not new disciplines for the business; they’ve been part of its day-to-day work for years.
Jane Savage, Regional Director for Europe at Howco, believes the industries share more common ground than many people realise.
“The environments may look different, but the expectations are very similar,” she said. “In both sectors, components are expected to perform reliably under extremely demanding conditions, and there is no room for compromise when it comes to quality or traceability. Those are standards Howco has worked to for many years; they’re at the core of what we do.”
Howco’s Approach to End-to-End Visibility
Alongside materials distribution, Howco offers a broad range of services including inventory management, machining, heat treatment, testing and additive manufacturing.
Bringing these capabilities together under one organisation allows the company to maintain closer oversight throughout the supply chain.
Visitors attending Farnborough International Airshow will be able to meet the Howco team in Hall 4, Stand 4836, where the company will primarily be discussing its global distribution for the aerospace sector.
While aerospace represents an important new chapter, Howco’s established presence in oil and gas remains central to the business. Rather than moving away from its traditional markets, the company is applying decades of experience in critical industries to support another sector where quality, reliability, technical expertise and supply chain confidence matter every day.
