The team at The QK Group go from strength to strength since the formation of Laser Limited

As the only valve / actuator mounting kit manufacturer in the UK to have their own laser cutting and fabrication company within the group, Quickits can offer cost effective and efficient solutions for a multitude of customer requirements.

The laser and folded style bracket (mounting kit) as pictured below has far surpassed the days of the box section style which, at times were not as accurate from a tolerance point of view due to the nature of the materials used. These laser and folded brackets are designed and manufactured in house in a much more cost-effective manner. Customers benefit with a cost saving on average of 15% compared to the box section style mounting kits. Other products such as locking devices, valve levers, sun shades, accessory panels and valve tags are all produced in house. As a result, Quickits have seen a significant increase in sales for these products during 2018, more so over recent months.

Operating from a bespoke office, manufacturing and warehouse facility based in Nottinghamshire the directors of the group have recently invested another £250,000 in additional business premises. As the largest UK supplier of valve / actuator mounting kits and associated products, the combined floor space now exceeds 27,000sq. ft. with 5,000sq. ft. being racked out with over £300,000 worth of stock products, all of which can be dispatched / delivered by means of a same day service.

Commenting on the success of the Group and as QK Group Managing Director, Rob Smith says: “I am very excited about the future, we like most other businesses within the industry took a knock back in 2015/16 due to the oil price crash, but we have come back stronger than ever. We have expanded where others have failed and in my opinion this is due to the vision of the management team. We are exhibiting again this year for the 3rd time running at Valve Word Expo, Dusseldorf and we welcome customers new and old to visit our stand. We have adopted a somewhat social theme for the stand this year since in our opinion this is a place to socialise with customers, suppliers and other business associates rather than just talk hard core business”
