ISO/FDIS 10434 Bolted bonnet steel gate valves for the petroleum, petrochemical and allied industries
Final Vote and Approval to Publish
What is it?: This document specifies the requirements for a heavy-duty series of bolted bonnet steel gate valves for petroleum refinery and related applications where corrosion, erosion and other service conditions can indicate a need for full port openings, heavy wall sections and large stem diameters.
It is applicable to valves of nominal sizes DN 25 to DN600, pressure designations PN16 to PN400 and Class 150 to Class 2500.
Why is it important?: The main changes are the following:
— Clause 2 "Normative references" was updated;
— addition of higher PN Class designations, including PN 63, 160, 250 and 400, and relevant dimensions;
— design and manufacturing requirements for the stem to wedge connection have been added.
Supersedes: Will update the 2004 standard. BS EN ISO 10434:2004 will be superseded and withdrawn.
