Maher: ValveWorld 2020 / COVID-19

It is with deep regret that we must announce our withdrawal from this year’s ValveWorld exhibition in Dusseldorf. Whilst this decision has not been taken likely by Maher – especially since our company has been a permanent fixture at the event since 2014 - the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees during the current global Covid-19 pandemic is our absolute priority.

We are still keen to ‘meet’ with our valve customers, old and new, from around the world to discuss any nickel alloy, copper alloy or special steel requirements. Our sales team are well equipped to hold meetings via various video conferencing platforms or of course over the phone so please do get in touch with either your usual contact or by emailing sales@maher.com and we will be very happy to schedule a time to go through your requirements.

Maher have introduced several measures, including the investment in PPE and other safety equipment, to create a COVID-secure workplace. Even with the South Yorkshire area being elevated to Tier 3 restrictions recently, we are continuing to operate without interruption whilst following guidance and advice issued by the Government and Public Health England. Our dedicated team will continue to monitor the UK’s response to the pandemic with regular COVID committee meetings in order to protect our employees, customers and wider supply chain. We recognise that policies and procedures may have to be adapted at short notice in the current situation and our technical and quality team are committed to support our customers with any health and safety restrictions put in place during this challenging time.

As a long-established stockist and machinist of high-strength, high-performance alloys for Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Naval & Marine, Defence, Power Generation and other special applications, Maher will be able to assist you with material requirements for Nickel Alloys, Copper Alloys and other special steel grades. Our in-house services include cutting, first stage machining such as turning and boring, precision machining, heat treatment & NDT. Due to the stringent requirements of the industries we service, quality is fundamental to everything we do. Maher’s quality systems are fully certified to ISO 9001 and AS 9100 rev D and we hold full JOSCAR Stage 2 accreditation for naval & marine, aerospace, defence and security applications. Supported by both customer and industry approvals, we deliver to the full supply chain, from OEMs to smaller machine shops. For more information, please visit www.maher.com.
