Thank you for 50 Years
Severn Glocon's Barry Wilder was presented with an award on 23rd December 2020 to celebrate not only 50 years’ service in the valve industry, but also 50 years’ continuous service to the same company – an outstanding achievement!
Former Severn CEO Maurice Critchley acted as Master of Ceremonies, in a presentation that was somewhat unique in being carried out with social distancing and also partly via Zoom.
BVAA Director Rob Bartlett joined the session to thank Barry for his valued contribution to BVAA’s technical work over many decades and to make a presentation on behalf of the UK valve industry, with BVAA Chairman and Severn Group CEO Colin Findlay adding his own special thanks.
Barry’s gift from BVAA was an engraved Brierly Crystal decanter, and from Severn some celebratory Champagne plus a life membership of Barry’s second home - Minchinhampton Golf Club.
Barry’s not retiring just yet and we look forward to welcoming him to the next session of the BVAA Valve Working Group in March 2021.
