BVAA Chairman, Dave Godfrey, was delighted to have the opportunity to visit one of our newest members, Cross Manufacturing at their Head Office in Bath and personally present them with their BVAA Membership Plaque.

The BVAA is a ‘community’ of members that all connect to the valve and actuator industry. This is why we welcome suppliers into membership, such as Cross Manufacturing, recognising they are vital part in the supply chain to the valves industry.

Dave Godfrey, BVAA Chairman, said: “Visting Cross allowed me to see that they are a fantastic fit for our association, both for what they can offer members and what they can gain from membership.

I look forward to seeing representatives from Cross at our upcoming events to see in action the positive impact our networking format has on both a new member and our valued current membership.”

About Cross Manufacturing Company

High performance metal seals and retaining rings for the flow control industry.

We all know that valves rely on seals and without seals they will not work. For applications involving extreme temperatures, very high pressures, harsh environments and environmental security, seals and retaining rings often need to be metal. That is where Cross can help.

Our products are attractive for valve applications where effective sealing is essential for reasons of safety, the environment and efficiency. Rugged designs optimise performance, reduce maintenance and contribute to improved asset management.

Our ability to manufacture sealing and retaining rings for ball, butterfly, gate and globe valves in a huge range of diameters suits valves in virtually all sizes, pressure ratings and environments, from miniature instrumentation to large pipelines. Other applications include pump seals, gaskets, washers and  springs.

For valve stem seals, including the prevention of fugitive emissions, metallic solutions manufactured by Cross can deliver positive sealing with strength and flexibility. Metal seals do not burn, shrink or absorb water.

Manufacture from wire or rod, using our environmentally efficient forging process, produces tough, high integrity products. Our proprietary technology delivers accurate dimensions and increased strength, particularly in the circumferential direction. Regular production encompasses diameters from 12mm up to 2,000mm for applications in temperatures up to 1,000°C.

Our expertise with stainless steels and alloys including Nimonics®, Inconels®, Haynes® and Waspaloy® is especially relevant for safety critical applications, high temperatures, corrosive media and cryogenics.
