Baker Hughes: Meeting New High-Pressure Demands
Consolidated™ Dual and Triple Media Certified Valves

The offshore sector is experiencing significant expansion as global fuel demand keeps rising. Deeper well explorations are being undertaken, introducing fresh challenges for oil and gas equipment, such as safety relief valves (SRVs). The primary obstacle for SRVs in Floating Production offshore scenarios is the increased well pressures (up to 15,000 psig/1,034 barg) caused by geological formations that bear the weight of the overburden at greater water depths.
To tackle these challenges, the pressure ranges of the 1900 DM Series Spring-Loaded SRV and the 3900 TM Series POSRV have been elevated beyond the maximum pressure thresholds specified by API Standard 526.
The 1900 DM 10/15K High Pressure Series stands out as the first and only dual-media certified block body Spring-Loaded SRV capable of achieving set pressures up to 10,000 psig, while the 3900 TM 10/15K High Pressure Series is the first and only multi-media certified block body POSRV to demonstrate set pressures exceeding 10,000 psig. Both valves incorporate a forged block body engineered to endure the high-pressure conditions typical in FPSO, FLNG, and other high-pressure offshore applications.
