Johnson Valves Launch Their JV09 Series Ball Valve Range

A New Benchmark in Engineering Excellence
Built to meet some of the industry’s most rigorous international standards including ANSI B16.34, API 6D, BS 5351, and DIN 3337, the JV09 Series is crafted for total confidence under pressure. Available in sizes ranging from DN8 (¼″) to DN200 (8″), the range offers solutions for a broad array of system requirements.
At the heart of its construction is a body crafted from CF8M stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance even in aggressive environments. For industries requiring compliance with specialised material performance, the JV09 Series is available with NACE MR-01-75 and MR-01-03 options.
Seat materials such as TFM1600 (standard) or options for PTFE, R-PTFE, METAL, PEEK & DEVLON making the JV09 adaptable to extreme temperatures from –196°C to over 300°C.
Designed for Versatility
The JV09 Series stands out for its flexible configuration options, ensuring compatibility with nearly any installation:
- Two‑piece and three‑piece bodies tailored for maintenance needs
- Full bore, reduced bore, two-way, and three-way port options
- Floating, V‑ball, and 3‑port ball designs to optimise flow characteristics
- Variety of end connections, including flanged ASME Class 150/300 & PN16/PN40, BSPP/BSPT/NPT threads, butt‑weld, and socket‑weld ends.
For operational flexibility, the JV09 supports a wide range of actuation methods, including lever, gear, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuators. Optional features such as locking devices, extended stems, and bypass arrangements further expand the series’ application potential.
Safety is embedded at the core of the design. With all ranges ATEX as standard, the JV090006, 17 & 16 are Fire-safe certified to API 607 4th Edition and incorporates critical protections such as anti-static features, automatic pressure relief, emergency grease injection, and anti-corrosion enhancements.
Rigorous Inspection You Can Trust
Before reaching customers, every JV09 series valve undergoes a comprehensive inspection and testing regime. Material validation is performed through:
- Positive Material Identification (PMI)
- Radiographic (RT)
- Magnetic (MT) testing
- Non-destructive testing (NDT)
Dimensional accuracy is verified against engineering drawings, and final valve performance is tested in accordance with EN 12266, API 598, and additional international standards.
This commitment to quality ensures that the JV09 Series delivers reliability and performance across its operating lifetime.
Setting a New Standard
With the JV09 Series, we have not simply produced another ball valve, we have engineered a comprehensive flow control solution designed to outperform expectations in real‑world industrial environments.
