Water you think about this from ERIKS Flow Control!

Pain

This site had some obsolete competitors’ ball valves that were no longer available from, or supported by the original OEM provider.

The actuated valves had been in situ for 4+years and were starting to malfunction.

With no recorded history of the valve build details, the customer was nervous about ordering spares for maintenance and was contemplating replacing the actuators only – which, when discussed, would not solve the underlining issue of the valve failures.

With limited installation space, a strict design envelope had to be adhered to.

Solution

From initial investigations into the service parameters and the customers’ expectations, it was decided that complete valves package proposals would be the best way forward in this case.

Understanding these were nonstandard valve builds due to the hostile application, specialist valves were considered for this application from ERIKS Flow Control.

With support from ERIKS sister companies for actuation, a tailored package was put together and proposed with the extended technical expertise giving the client confidence to trust ERIKS on this complex project.

Value

Supply contract was achieved and successfully installed.

Witness inspection was carried out on the installation of the valve build on the Reactor vessel and further valve builds ordered.

Possibility of Refurbishment and Maintenance.

Future Reactors builds on the horizon due to the success of the solution.
